I just started to use EME and got confused because of the wording in the German translation, e.g.

    Event/s = Ereignisse = Veranstaltung

Location = Veranstaltungsort = Location (untranslated)

    Registration = Reservierung = Registrierung

In general we would prefer to use the same wording through the whole plugin.

Do you have somebody reliable for a better translation or should I send you an updated mo/po?

Nevertheless: Great work in this plugin!

Just found out, that some texts are not in the language files at all, e.g.

    – Enable map scroll-wheel zooming?

    – Enable event permalinks if possible?

    – Number of events to show in lists

I’ll do an update of the language template file (pot) so you can use poedit to update the german language file if you want. Then this one can be included in the next version.

Just for information: Still working on a new German version. Tried and decided the following:

registration (EN) = Anmeldung (DE) = before confirmation, request phase

booking (EN) = Buchung (DE) = after confirmation

    What do you think?

Well, as long as it seems logical, I’m good with it 🙂

The next version is around the corner, with many new things. I’ll remake the pot file later today again.

An updated German Version is almost ready, where to send or upload it?

Just one thing: In the chapter “Access rights” there are some missing strings. Maybe it is an issue of using Version 4.0.1 with a pot from the trunk?

Hi Jorgo, just mail them to me: liedekef@telenet.be

Concerning the missing strings: let me know which ones, so I can check this.

    Hi there

Is it possible to change some german words?

I’m using the Event-Plugin on 2 websites where you can register your name for an event; booking is wrong.

So where can I change the german translation?

Language files (in your case: eme-de_DE.po and the template eme.pot in the “langs” subdir) need to be compiled after editing (using eg. poedit), creating a .mo file. That’s the file being used in the end.
