Members get added before payment

Hi Franky,

Currently, EME adds new Members into the database before they pay for the membership:

I would like EME to wait until the user makes a successful payment before adding them to the Members database. I have looked but have not found an EME setting anywhere that would delay the addition of the Member to the database until after a successful payment is recorded. Is this possible?

This is not a bug, but a question. And no, it’s not possible: like bookings are stored (even if not approved), members are stored. The status of the member is key here.

Ah yes, the members do not have access to any Membership privileges before paying – I forgot!

Maybe I will just use CSS to hide the “Added” message so as to reduce any confusion in the UX.

You can change that message to your liking, it is configurable.
