The filter form tools are great but they require the user to take the extra step of submitting the form and then waiting for the page to be returned.
It would be really nice if this could all be done in the client side.
I think that with “on the client side” you mean ajax-based without form submit. This will not be happening for the filter, since other shortcodes depend on the form submit and via ajax I can’t catch that.
