    Hey Franky,

    Another question.
When I create a new custom field, e.g. a dropdown field, the input fields for tag and value are single-line.
I enter the values in the old syntax (|| xx || xy) and save the record. In the HTML view, the 1st selection of this box is: value = “” and tag “”. This is what I have often used for required fields.
When I open the new record again, the input fields for the values and tags are multi-line and the values are separated by line breaks. After updating the dataset, the empty entry has disappeared in the HTML view.

How can I permanently create a dropdown box where the first entry is empty?

    Best regards
    Friedhelm

This was also a bug (albeit a very weird one …).
    This should fix it:
    https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/1996716/

If you can confirm it, then I’ll release a new version tomorrow.

    Hallo Franky,

most of the time it works fine, but …
DropDown fields are still a problem. I get a 1st blank line, value = “” and tag is blank. Very nice!
But the check in the browser, as well as in the server, for a missing input fails. The cause is not to see, an entity string as tag “& nbsp;”

Did you update to the last version? My tests with an empty field value work correct in dropdown and radiobox …
