Conflict with "Category Posts Widget" / "Category Teaser" plugins

Hi!

I have installed the “Category Posts Widget” plugin ( http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/category-posts/ ) to display the newest post from a certain category in a sidebar widget on my site.

This all works perfectly fine until I open an event page – then the post excerpt displayed in the Category Posts Widget gets replaced by an event description (only the excerpt, not the title).

The same goes for the similar “Category Teaser” plugin.

Any suggestions?

Seems to be an issue in that plugin: if no excerpt is present, it will show the content of the current page of the event. A bit weird though … but try using excerpts in your posts.

I found the bug. In fact it was an issue in EME. I fixed this in the trunk version, so it should be ok for the next release.
