    I’m taking over a site that used Event Expresso previously – can EME be installed/used instead?

    It all depends on what you want. EME can do just about anything, but replacing another events manager will always take some time and effort.

    Sorry, I didn’t explain very well. Was concerned that something used previously (like the Events page) would cause EME a problem. Is there any ‘piece’ left-over from previous processing that should be deleted?

    Not really, just deactivating the old plugin after you’ve finished configuring EME will be more than enough. EME uses a special events page, but I try to not interfere with other plugins at all.
