    Somehow I managed to edit my event-pages to have no padding towards the border of the browser – and I honestly don’t know how I did that and how i can reverse that.

    EME uses the template assigned to the special events page as a layout. You can however select for each event separately a template too, but maybe chek the template you set on that page. For the rest it is CSS and that’s your theme or your changes inside your theme.
