InactiveI want to do family memberships. These are exactly like normal memberships, but for every member that has a payed membership, I can add connected members that do not have to pay and that do not need to have email addresses.
I played around with different memberships and booking forms but did not succeed.
I did not find a way to:
- Have the email addresses optional for family members
- Have family members connected to the paid member (or a common membership) that renews membership for all members when it is payed for the family.

KeymasterFirst, create a template for the membership where you ask for the main person’s data and number of family members (the last one will be a custom field).
Then create a template of type membership that asks for the additional data and then use that template in the section “Dynamically show fields based on a number of conditions
” whn defining the membership. As condition you’ll want to use the number of family members. The doc on this: https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/category/documentation/7-placeholders/7-13-membershipform/
See here for an example (it is in Dutch, but any modern browser will translate it for you): https://www.bonheidensehondenvrienden.be/familielidmaatschap-bhv/Fri 20 Sep 2019 at 12:52 #60304Anonymous
InactiveFranky,
thank you for this. I managed to get the forms ready which hare now controlled by #_FIELD{AnzahlFamilienmitglieder}. However, with this Approach (which I like btw) I am missing two features:
1. I cannot count the members anymore. Right?
2. I cannot send emails to the family members and cannot convert or link event members to family members. Right?Fri 20 Sep 2019 at 17:27 #60306Franky
KeymasterYes, doing it like described causes the family members to be just extra data for 1 member.

InactiveWell, I might go with that approach the next steps. I might have asked that earlier, but When I print a member list using a form, I am unable to specify a layout for the dynamic data.
At the moment my dynamic data comes as a key value columns. Is there a chance to specify the format of the Dynamic data in member lists?

KeymasterYEs, currently the dynamic data-part can’t be changed in layout. I’m still pondering on how to tackle that …
