Don’t allow registration until a certain time before the event.

There already exists the ability to stop registrations hours or days before an event. I’d like to be able to start taking reservations within a certain window – I can publish events and make sure they’re known well ahead of time, but not take sign-ups until a week ahead of time.

I could also accomplish the same thing if there was a way to compare dates within the existing conditional tags – only displaying the signup form if the current date is less than a week before the event date, for example.
