InactiveI’m trying to setup the plugin so the client doesn’t have to approve the person for RSVP. I’m looking to get the user to come to the site signup, pay, and get confirmation without the client touching or approving anything. Is this possible and if so were is it or what code do I need to insert.
Thanks,
Joshua

KeymasterIn the RSVP settings per event you can disable/enable needing confirmation.

InactiveI see now after adding in the short codes its a two step process for the booking not a click here to paypal but a register first then a paypal button appears its a bit confusing from normal event plugins where the submit and paypal button are one and the same.

InactiveIs this still the case? It is why I’ve come to the forum today. My client finds that so many people register then do not pay. She then has to follow up and bug these people for payment since they chose to ignore the paypal “pay now” and her text saying “you will not be registered unless you PAY NOW!”. Is there a way to have them pay first before the confirmation is made on the event registration?

KeymasterActivate the “approval” function for the RSVP, so each registration needs to be approved. This way, if people don’t pay, they don’t get approved.
And in the mail sent to them, you can specify this clearly as well.

InactiveFranky, that is how we have it set up. But it is still a major issue with people and creates manual work to have to go in and remove these people to free up seats. Was just hoping this could be avoided and make sure registrants are serious before they finish booking.

KeymasterHow do you suggest to do this then? The paypal button needs the exact amount reserved, so it is not possible on the same page as the reservation form.
What I can do is take only the approved amount into account for “free” spaces …

InactiveSorry, I’m not sure I follow what you are saying.

KeymasterWell, you seem to have much work removing unpaid (and thus unapproved) reservations to free up space. So what I can do is just take into account the approved reservations for the free spaces.

InactiveAhhh, I see. That’s not a bad idea.
