    Hi Franky,

    I have a working website with EME 1.6.10.

    Now I’m developing a website in a sub-folder and I installed the latest version of wordpress and EME, but when I’m sending mails I get the following error:
    2016-09-16 14:17:51 SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: Connection refused (111) 2016-09-16 14:17:51 SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

    The settings in the tab “Mail” are the same as in the live website. The setting is SMTP with “localhost”. Can you give me tips to solve this?

    1.6.10 is no longer supported.
    But: do you have a mailserver running on localhost? Is it listening on the port you specified? Do you need SSL or TLS?
