InactiveHi Franky,
would it be possible to get a date field for the custom made fields please?
I like to check if a participant is in need of a parents authorization or if the participant is older than a certain age.
Cheers and thanks for considering!

InactiveHi Franky,
how far is this implementation? (http://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?p=481) Currently I’m using still a text field for a formfield where I would expect the user to give a date, sometimes the user type something different and I do not get the information I want 😉
When I create a custom field for my forms, it would be great to have a date field option…
Many thanks!
Cheers

KeymasterThe thing is that the date-type is not supported by firefox or internet explorer, see http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_form_input_types.asp

InactiveWould it be possible to check the format of the field (in an easy and user friendly way) a non programmer could implement? 😉
I think it could be beneficial also when somebody requires a dedicated format of a phone number, member id number, credit card etc.?
And even if the older browser (not yet support the date field) on the link it is said:
“Input types, not supported by old web browsers, will behave as input type text.”Mon 14 Mar 2016 at 23:43 #55383Franky
KeymasterSee if this helps:

InactiveHi Franky,
many thanks for the implementation. I checked it on my staging web server with Chrome and Opera and it works. Safari seems not to support (although it was mentioned to do so), Firefox and SeaMonkey do not support it as expected but the field is treated (and expected to work) as a text field at these browsers.
I just would add a link to examples for the:
“For HTML5 fields, you can here enter the pattern that the entered value should have.”
Maybe a link to: http://html5pattern.com/Dates?
Cool at least an beneficial add on to supported browsers. I bet once in the future all browser will fully support HTML5 (let’s dream) 😉
Cheers and thanks again!
