InactiveI’ve been using EME for over a year now with no problems but all of a sudden it gone from my dashboard menu, when I try to access it though a URL I get You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page. I’m logged in as a user with administrator rights so I’m not sure where to look for the problem.

KeymasterTry giving yourself all rights (even as admin) and try again.

InactiveYou mean the MySQL user? that already has all rights, tried removing some rights and adding it again but it’s not made any difference

KeymasterNo, I mean your WP admin user.

Inactivenot sure I’m following you Franky, for the WP users i get an option to set a role (admin, subscriber etc) but I don’t see anything to add all rights. where should I be looking?

KeymasterHmmm …. first things first: did you disable/enable the plugin after the update?

InactiveThat was is, thanks! Never had to do that before, is that something that should be done after every update?

InactiveFranky,
I’m having trouble with this.
I tried to upgrade (without deactivating [sorry]) then I got the You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page error.
I have deactivated and reactivated and doesn’t sort it.
The user account is an admin and I’ve even re-downloaded the trunk and tried to upload again. Got an error as dir already existed so renamed existing to xxx.old and then uploaded and activated but still getting the same.
This only happened when upgrading from 3.?.? to 4.0.1
Any ideas?
Thanks
Tom

InactiveIn case it makes any difference this is a different site and I’m not using the admin account but the user account is a WP Administrator…

KeymasterJust tried it with a new user with Admin rights: no problem here. Has your account the “Administrator” role?

InactiveFranky,
The user account I’m using is set to WordPress Administrator role. Is that what you mean?
Also, I just tried creating a new user and set to Adminstrator but getting the same message.
I’ll email you the test login for the new account.
Thanks
Tom

KeymasterWell, apparently something got messed up so the rights weren’t set by default for the EME plugin upon update. I fixed it in your plugin now and will add some code so that at least the Settings part is visible if no rights are set.
