Feature request: categories integration with wordpress

Hi there,

Currently it seems categories are an autonomous key wording, not related to WordPress.

I look forward to see categories being integrated in WP, such that it will be possible to use tag cloud for example to show relevant tags.

This will be postponed until further notice: since events are not posts, integrating categories into normal wordpress categories wouldn’t change anything. Until (and if that ever happens) I change the whole thing to custom post types, this won’t happen as well.
