I'm trying to use EME on 3 different pages of a site I'm working on, using shortcodes. The plugin used to work alright until I updated WP to 3.3.1, I believe, though I'm not certain. After updating, the permalinks to single event page wouldn't work properly, they reloaded the same page. Tried a few things I read about here and on the wordpress forum, and now the permalinks lead to the posts page of the site, which I don't use anyway. However, not even this happens when using the standard wp permalinks, which I'd prefer to use. Disabling the permalinks structure works, but the interesting thing is, re-enabling the permalinks does not cause the problem to come back. Even when I had it pointing to an existing page and had another page with the shortcode, on both pages, clicking on the Event link would take me to my new blog instead of to the event page.
